Children’s Square of Rakusai Bamboo Park内
As one of the efforts to revitalize Rakusai New Town, the city of Kyoto has been working on the redevelopment of this children’s square with local residents. Now this square has transformed into an enjoyable area where children can use natural geographical features, bamboo and water for their creative play and activities.
(1)The Concept
The concept of this square is "A park where everyone can watch children play and think by themselves in nature." Our goal is to create an environment where children of all ages can play and where parents can relax. Also we encourage people from within and outside the Rakusai New Town area to visit this square.

The park has been redesigned to create the best use of its natural features such as bamboo, other plants and trees, and unique geographical features for children to have creative play and activities.
